Statistical Sports Consulting Founder Michael Schuckers had a research paper selected as a finalist for presentation at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference. The paper develops a new methodology for evaluation of NHL goalies called the Defense Independent Goalie Rating or DIGR.
